Hello! I am Lee Ann, the founder of the Albuquerque Drum Major Camp. I was drum major for Manzano High School in 2007 and attended the George Park's Drum Major Academy. I was extremely fortunate to meet George Parks in person. His camp influenced my leadership style and dedication to serving others. Since my drum major days, I've continued making music and serving the community. I was a member of the marching band staff for Manzano high school from 2010-2020. It was during this time that I noticed a need for better leadership development programs to prepare students for their leadership positions in the marching band.
I started the Albuquerque Drum Major Camp in 2022 to fill the void for low-cost, yet high quality drum major camps for the Albuquerque area schools. My hope is that each student comes away from the camp feeling more confident to be a leader in their respective programs. I look forward to meeting you!

Hi, my name is Caycie! I was a drum major my senior year of high school in 2007 to 2008 at Eldorado, and two years prior to that I was section leader. I also worked on staff with the Eldorado marching band while in college as a marching technician. Once I got into college at UNM, my experiences as a young leader helped me to feel confident enough to try a completely new instrument and join the band fraternity, Kappa Kappa Psi. I was a member of both the UNM marching band and pep band, as well as treasurer for Kappa. Outside of music, I graduated from UNM twice with a BA in Asian Studies and MA in Language, Literacy, and Sociocultural Studies, I am an English teacher with Albuquerque Public Schools, a mom, an on-and-off again ultimate frisbee player (UNM Bombshell alum), and can speak a little Mandarin!
